About AHF
The Aquatic Health and Fitness Association was formed in the end of 2013 by a group of dedicated aquatic professionals with practical aquatic skills and a sound scientific background, representing one or more of the multiple areas of aquatic health and fitness.
In our quest of knowledge we have discovered that many individuals, organizations and associations representing aquatics worldwide offer different perspectives and have to offer invaluable knowledge to the aquatics' professionals.
Aquatic Health and Fitness Professionals are continuously emerging from different paths and disciplines such as, Exercise Science, Physical Therapy, Adapted Physical Education, Occupational and Speech Therapy, Medicine, Alternative Medicine and other Allied health professions.
One of the most important missions of AHF is to create a communication crossroad to promote the continuously evolving bodies of knowledge and the different schools of “aquatic thought”. Furthermore we want to emphasize the importance of research and scientific information supporting the use of aquatic skills. The purposes and objectives of the organization are summarized in its Mission Statement:
'A non-profit Association dedicated to the promotion and development of
worlwide Aquatic Modalities contributing to
Health & Fitness'
